Puppies Favorite Chocolate Cake!
This recipe is plant-based, so it is safe for some allergies! But feel free to substitute any of the ingredients for your own diet preferences! :)
Cake Batter
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp Apple Cider vinegar
- 1 cup almond milk
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 3/4 cup coconut sugar
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
- 2/3 cup apple sauce
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup hot water
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Mix the apple cider vinegar with the almond milk, then set aside.
- Combine flour, coconut sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl, mix well.
- To that same bowl, add coconut oil, apple sauce, vanilla extract, and the milk and vinegar mixture from step 2. Mix well.
- Add the hot water, and mix well.
- Grease two 9 inch cake pans with plant butter and flour.
- Pour the cake mix into the two pans evenly.
- Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
Frosting
Ingredients:
- Mix cocoa powder and butter in a large bowl.
- Add powdered sugar, almond milk, and vanilla extract into the bowl.
- Mix it all together until completely blended!
Now Time to Prepare!
- Once the cakes cool, it's time to add the frosting!
- For the first cake, add frosting to the top until covered. This will be the creamy middle layer!
- Carefully place the second cake on top of the first one.
- Ice the entire cake until fully covered in frosting.
- Enjoy!



I never tried coconut sugar , oh that cake looks delicious!!!!❤️❤️❤️
